Philips enhances its CT 5300 system for launch in North America
In February this year, Philips launched the CT 5300 system, featuring advanced AI capabilities for diagnosis, interventional procedures, and screening, at ECR2024.
The current upgrade builds on Philips’ CT Smart Workflow with a complete suite of AI-powered ‘Precise’ software solutions that support every step of the CT workflow.
Verathon launches single-use Spectrum QC eco video laryngoscope
Made using bio-based plastics, Spectrum QC eco combines an eco-friendly design with the performance capabilities of GlideScope.
The video laryngoscope features an 80% bio-based plastic shell, using the mass balance approach. It is certified by International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC PLUS).
Gravitas Medical receives FDA 510(k) clearance for Entarik technology
This approval allows the company to market its Entarik technology to the US neonatal market. The first FDA clearance was received in March 2023.
In December last year, the system earned a second FDA’s Breakthrough Device Designation. The Entarik System is designed for neonatal enteral feeding. It aids in placing the Entarik Enteral Feeding Tube into the stomach of neonatal patients requiring enteral feeding.

The partnership combines Siemens Healthineers’ Acuson Sequoia ultrasound system, RadNet’s expertise in high-volume care, and DeepHealth’s SmartSonography solution.
Telix Pharmaceuticals Limited doses first patient in Phase 3 kidney cancer imaging agent trial in China
The late-stage trial uses TLX250-CDx as a positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agent for clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).
The first patient was dosed and imaged at Beijing Cancer Hospital in China.TLX250-CDx (Zircaix) is an investigational PET agent being developed to noninvasively characterise indeterminate renal masses (IRMs) as ccRCC or non-ccRCC.
