Are You Sacrificing Quality for Schedule?

In many organizations that lack Quality Management Maturity, the Quality standards typically change at the end of each month.

As the primary agenda becomes meeting Sales and Schedule goals and focus is “moving the product” they lose sight on Quality. Many times, this is accompanied by yelling and accusations

Unfortunately, the impact is not considered, the Cost of Poor Quality

Those costs are Rework, Delays, Complaints, Bad Will, Inspection, and Sales Losses

They easily amount to 20% of sales, the lion’s share of corporate profit

They typically are ignored, not tracked, and not recognized by an immature organization

Unfortunately, an awakening may not occur until it’s too late!

When we put Quality First, we avoid the majority of the poor quality costs, leading the organization to success
