How Vi’s SMS spam solution works:

We have implemented a solution that displays 'Suspected Spam' on SMS received by Vi customers real time on their phone. This solution, powered by advanced AI , works on spam detection by leveraging Machine Learning (ML) algorithms, pattern recognition, and continuous monitoring. The system can quickly detect suspicious activities, including fraudulent links, unauthorized promotions, and identity theft attempts in real time using a number of parameters and automatically creating rules which are then used to detect the SPAM nature in the SMSes.
2. Will this service work for me if I am not using a smartphone?
Yes. The solution is available for Vi customers using any handset, both feature phones and smart phones.
3. Are there any charges for this service?
The solution is available for all Vi customers at no additional charge.
4. I am an Vi mobile user, is this service available for me on my Android / iOS device?
Yes. The solution is available for Vi customers across all handsets, including android and iOS devices.
5. Why is the SMS from my number showing as Suspected Spam?
We are using a technology powered by advanced AI, that works on identification of suspected spam by leveraging machine learning algorithms, pattern recognition and continuous monitoring. The system can detect suspicious activities, including fraudulent links, unauthorized promotions, and identity theft attempts in real time using a number of parameters and automatically creating rules which are then used to scan the SMSes against it. In case SMSes from your number is showing as 'Suspected Spam', then AI has identified the SMS content to be suspicious.
6. Is there any Process or App required to activate this feature?
No. This feature is live on Vi's network and it does not need any app or specific activation.
