Dismas House recently celebrated its 50th Anniversary by hosting a Forgiveness Gala fundraiser at the Renaissance Nashville Hotel.
The nonprofit social services organization raised more than $205,000 to support formerly incarcerated men as they transition into the community.
Nashville mayor Freddie O’Connell spoke and presented a proclamation to Dismas House honoring its 50 years of service to the community.
The Forgiveness Gala also recognized three recipients with awards during this year’s special celebration: Chelsea Nicholson, attorney, was given the Father Jack Hickey Changemaker Award; Scotty Story got the John Jenkins Jr. Achievement Award; and HCA Healthcare/TriStar Health won the Grace Morales Legacy Award.
