Graduate Programme 2025
Our two-year graduate rotation programme immerses recent graduates into six-month job rotations within our economic consultancy services in London or Belfast.
As an Assistant Economist, you will be working closely with experienced economists and will be expected to take responsibility for your work from an early stage. As you rotate between teams, you will have the opportunity to work on Oxford Economics’ global macro, city and sectoral forecasts and prepare articles on topical economic issues; develop econometric forecasting tools; undertake ‘what if’ scenario analysis; and assist senior economists on a variety of consultancy projects.
Thank you to everyone who expressed interest in our Graduate Programme! Applications for our 2025 cohort are now closed. We’re so grateful for the enthusiasm and talent of all who applied.
If you missed out this time, don’t worry—there’s always next year! Keep an eye on our website for future opportunities, and we wish you the best of luck in your journey. We can’t wait to meet the next wave of incredible candidates!
Apprenticeship Programme
We partner with the University of Kent to offer the Level 6 Professional Economist Degree Apprenticeship, offering you the chance to gain on-the-job training in our four-year rotation programme, all whilst obtaining your economics degree.
You will work alongside our economists to gain in-depth experience in the practical use of advanced statistical and modelling software, data visualisation tools and mapping software, as well as practical knowledge related to the application of economics to real-world questions.
Your off-the-job training will be delivered by the University of Kent’s School of Economics, and has been designed to cover all of the nationally agreed economics subject benchmark content required for the award of a BSc Degree qualification in economics.
Opportunities are available for the apprentice programme in our London office, and recruitment for our 2025 cohort will begin in February.

“Very exciting to have been interviewed by the Economic Review and published in their magazine for A Level students. Was nice to share my experience of my placement year at Oxford Economics and encourage others to undertake a placement year themselves.”
“My time as a graduate economist at Oxford Economics has been an interesting and all-round positive experience. As the teams are small, I have worked alongside and learnt from experienced, senior colleagues from my first day. Furthermore, contributing to client deliverables on a daily basis has made me feel valued.”
“Since joining Oxford Economics 4 years ago, I have had countless opportunities to develop my career as a professional economist. Every day we tackle a different subject, and the projects are varied and interesting. Having the opportunity to apply my knowledge beyond the textbooks has been invaluable in building an understanding of ‘real-world’ economics, and Oxford Economics has provided the perfect environment to explore new concepts and grow as an economist.”
