JOX running shoes were all the rage in the mid 70s & early 80s. Their greatest popularity was with us school kids -- we wore them to be "in style" but runners and athletes hated them because they were made like crap. JOX were introduced by Thom McAn, America's largest shoe store chain at the time with over 1,400 locations, and a manufacturer of its own branded footwear with 10 US factories. Eventually JOX faded as Nike Cortez became the "in" sneaker. The last Thom McAn stores closed in 1996. 80s Nike Shoes, 80s Tennis Shoes, 80s Running Shoes, 90s Nike Ads, Thom Mcan Shoes Vintage, Vintage Sneaker Ads, Vintage Shoe Advertisements, Vintage Sports Clothing, Popular Sneakers
