Christmas window cards

I used the Madison Window die with the Spellbinders M-bossibilities brick embossing folder (really nice product). I used some white craft paint on the "bricks" to soften the look. A clear window sheet gives the card a realistic look. Love this Tim Holtz window die, but I haven't used it as much as I want so I broke it out the other day. This card could be a Christmas card, but it could also be a thank you card after Christmas, or any other kind of wintery greeting. Fun making that cluster of pine branches on the front - I almost felt like I was decorating for Christmas already! :)

Three more days until Thanksgiving and then it's a headlong dash into Christmas! Everyone is so busy but it's a lovely time of year! This morning I want to share another window card I made this past week. I used my window die(Grand Madison from Poppy Stamps) and cut out this frame. Then I stamped a Heartfelt Creations tree onto a white piece of cardstock and once the ink set, I used a cotton ball with a bit of Ranger Distress Ink on it and lightly colored in around the tree, giving my little…

2014 Christmas card. Originally the brick background was white cardstock colored with PTI Kraft ink, but I ran out of ink halfway through, so I had to modify my design to this.

I decided on a window themed card. I keep the design fairly simple. I used a stamp from Delicious Doodles called A Robin�s Christmas. I coloured the Christmas ornaments red, but left the rest of the image black and white. I framed the image with the small Memory Box � Madison Window Die. For my Dots and Stripes, I embossed the background wall using two folders: small dot pattern and a stripe pattern. I used three stickers from Kaisercraft to finish off the card.

I wanted to play with my window die and also with the Martha Stewart Sparkle Texture I bought after seeing Loll Thompson use it for snow. I decided to do two cards - one looking out of the window from inside to outside, and the other the reverse. This one is looking into the house and seeing a Christmas tree with gifts under it.
