Description I wanted to try to do some knotwork in wood, but with each element being a separate bead. The simple 3 strand braid seemed to be the best/simplest pattern to try that. Sawed, drilled, sanded from an old plank that was gathering dust in the attic. Probably pine or fir wood. The strings visible here are not the final ones, it was just a test to see if it worked. And the "beads" are numbered because they fitted better if they were kept in the order I sawed them. The finished version
