I have had over 30 families from Europe, Asia, and North America come through my flat over the past year. Witnessing the daily rituals of these families’ lives—meal time, bath time, bedtime—it became very clear: in comparison to their European counterparts, American moms — although loving and well-intentioned—were the most exhausted, irritated, overbearing, impatient, loud, helpless, indulgent and entitled.
