Those officers selected for various aviation related career fields spend roughly a month flying the DA-20 before they proceed to their follow-on aviation training. The DA-20 is often the first aviation exposure student pilots have, and is thus not a high-performance aircraft. The F-5 is one of my most fragile planes so far. The most complicated area of the plane is the area of the air intakes with the wing root. The wedge plate of the wing is upside down, and the whole intake section is attached by a single stud on each side. Also, the front and aft sections are held together by two studs. This works because the plane is not too large.
