The rules are simple: shake the parachute quickly during the fast tempo and switch to smooth, gentle shakes when the music changes to a slow tempo. 

This activity helps students control momentum and teaches them to predict phrase lengths in the music. After all, music is meant to move, without movement, it isn’t music at all!
