Today, I'm using this glass bowl and candle holder from Dollar Tree. I also use some of their vinyl. I took this small wooden heart and just cut a piece of vinyl that is larger than it and traced out the heart and cut that out. I removed the backing and then placed down the vinyl part on the front of the glass bowl. Next I'm using sheepskin color chalk paint by Folkart and I used a sponge to apply it. And for the second coat when I'm applying the paint I just dab it on the glass that way it fills it in better and gives it better coverage and takes less coats. So once that was dry completely I just went in and removed the vinyl so it just left that heart window in the glass bowl. And just touched up a little spot that I made from my fingernail removing that. And then I took Mod Podge and applied an entire layer of that to the outside including that window opening. I then used Barely Pink Chalk Paint by Folk Art and the same method with the sponge to apply it to the candle holder and I did two coats on that as well. And again I use Mod Podge to seal the paint. And next I'm taking this little laser cut out key that I got from Dollar Tree painting that with burnt umber acrylic paint. Just one coat on both sides. To attach the glass bowl to the candle holder, I use quick hold glue as well as hot glue. Next I took some twine and wrapped it around where the two meet. I took the twine again and I'm making a twine bow just looping it back and forth. Maybe about four or five times just until it was the thickness I wanted and then took the twine and wrapped it around the center of that loop. Cut off the excess after I made a knot in the center. I started with another piece of twine and put a tiny bit of hot glue on the end of it and glued that to the back of the key. And then cut off some of the excess twine leaving a little bit. So I can make a tail on the other end of the key. So I just bend the twine and glue it where I had made that knot. And then place the bow down right on top of that. Then trim up the twine to kind of match the length of the key. And that's it for this project. Thank you so much for watching.
