Aren't these baby tarantula earrings the sweetest? Small, light, and delicate, these spiders are a great friend to wear for all those arachnid lovers. Plus, they have little moons on their butts! I guided this little critter into the world with a mixture of wax sculpture and carving. After carefully refining all the details in fine jewelers wax, my pieces are transfigured with the lost wax casting method. Unfortunately I never see my wax creation again, but in its place I have a lovely little metal one. There's a lot of work involved, but after all the cleaning up, applying the patinas, and giving it that satiny finish, this little creature is ready for a new home. Your new easy to take care of pet is available in solid sterling silver, antiqued bronze, or 14k gold. All are nickel free, and made with the utmost care. The spider is just about a half an inch long, and it dangles on ear wires that are 1.5 inches long, making it just shy of 2 inches in total length. The silver is solid sterling silver, and the bronze comes on bronze colored Niobium- a hypo allergenic metal like stainless steal.
