French Black Top Hat, Beaver. Victorian, Edwardian Fashion, Period Clothing ja 7112409 Antique French black top hat marked "Jacot Bayonne" inside. Leather headband and silk interior with tiny initials of R, D. Likely to be from the Victorian or Edwardian era's to the 1920s. Black exterior ribbon and grosgrain ribbon rolled edge. Hat is 5.25" height, 2" brim, 21 5/8" interior headband circumference which is an average size. 7.5" front to back opening, 6.25" side to side. The sizing is not marked, it is a smaller size. Please check and double check all measurements as we do not offer returns on costume items. Showing some wear from years in storage although it looks to be in fairly good and wearable condition. The leather interior has stains and discoloring. There are small marks at the top of the head in the beaver and some under the brim (shown). A bit dusty from years in storage and we are selling as found. Great authentic period piece. Thanks for viewing. Sorry, no returns on this item.
