An oval iridescent blue, green Boulder Opal is set in a Sterling silver bezel and mounted on a 22ct gold vermeil, hand patterned shank. This Opal reflects a sultry darkness, petrol on water, a Peacock's feather, the magic of a moonless sky. The stone was bought from a reliable source and is a genuine Australian boulder opal. I was worried at first to set opals as my grandmother told me when I was very young that they were unlucky, but the lure of their unique kaleidoscope of colour won me over.
