I handmade these red carnelian earrings just for you. They are round gemstone beads, but they are arranged to resemble little red hearts. These cute little gemstone earrings will make a delightful addition to your holiday wardrobe. Ancient Byzantine and Assyrian cultures used Carnelian to foster courage, and so can you. Silver and gold filled jump rings provide a subtle contrast. Please note: Gemstone beads are natural and therefore have slight variations in texture and color. Silver filled ear wires, silver filled and gold filled jump rings: 1/10 silver filled wire is 1/10 sterling silver by weight. gold filled wire is 1/20 14k gold by weight The silver or gold cladding is bonded to a brass core. The thickness of the metal cladding is typically 50 to 100 times thicker than typical "plated" metal and is thick enough to be stamped or engraved without exposing the brass core. Unlike plated metal, the silver or gold layer is not likely to wear off with normal use. Handmade Cohee Jewelry: I make my own sawn jump rings down to 1.5 mm inside diameter. These earrings are made with a mixture of silver filled and gold filled metal in order to provide a visual contrast. The connecting loops through each bead are doubled to provide strength and security. The ear wires are also carefully handmade by me using 21 gauge silver filled wire. The 21 gauge wire is a perfect compromise of strength and comfort. They are branded, hallmarked, tumbled and matched to provide strong, shiny and comfortable ear wires.
