This is an original Begampuri cotton saree in a striking black and mustard yellow combination. Simple, comfortable and elegant are the right three words to describe this six yards. This saree is named after the town it is woven in- Begampur is a small town famous for its saree weaving in the Hooghly district of West Bengal. These sarees can be identified by their loosely woven, light-weight and translucent make and have contrasting borders in red, black, purple, orange etc. Weavers use a pit loom or frame loom for weaving Begampuri saree with extra warp of 2/100s or 2/80s cotton yarn. Fall and pico is done. NO blouse piece. Important note: Unfortunately, there are numerous fakes of this exact same saree in the market which are using the Begampuri name tag but are not original and use mixed/synthetic yarns. The might be cheaper but are not original. Note: We try to stay as accurate to the original colors as possible without using any filters. However, due to different screen calibrations and lighting during photography, colors may vary slightly from the picture
