During the turn of the nineteenth century, artisans were inspired by the changing roles of women in society and began depicting the free flowing feminine form in brooches, bracelets, rings and more. This antique stickpin (circa 1890-1900) features a woman of 14k gold, adorned in enamel with a single diamond crown and a pearl accent. The pin head measures 0.9 inches by 0.5 inches wide with the entire pin measuring 1.9 inches long. It is in very good condition; however there is a chip to the enamel on the tip of the nose. The cap at the base of the pin is not original to the piece and it is not gold.
