Wide Silver Ring Stamped Design This type of stampwork or chasing is inspired by the Indians of the Southwest US. I admire the early smiths work, with nothing but simple tools they relied on skills acquired over generations. The term chasing is derived from the noun "chase", which refers to a groove, furrow, channel or indentation and in the case of metalsmiths is achieved by the use of hammers, anvils and steel tools. The process is relatively slow and direct requiring complete focus on the details and how the metal is responding. The steel tools used in this design include contemporary design, handmade and vintage. Measurements: Ring Fits approximate size 9 3/4 Measures approximate 5/8" wide
