I'm guessing this was probably the inspiration for this top! If this is the case, it was most likely worn no more than once, judging on its condition. It is made of a lightweight silk taffeta, which has a green overall cast, but glints blue or gold, when the light hits it right.

The lining is an iridescent, peachy-gold silk fabric. It has enough of a Western hemisphere style to make it 20th century, but I do believe the fabric and/or buttons may be older. It is finished down the center front with tiny glass buttons that have been hand painted in gold and fuchsia to match (although much of this color has faded from wear).
