How do you find the best counsellor for you? This is a difficult choice and often being open and communicating with your counsellor will ensure optimal healing. I come from an acceptance of where you are in your journey. I do not believe the goal of counselling is “counselling itself”, but to find a way to move forward in your journey. "To feel safe with other people is probably the single most important aspect of mental health” (Bessel Van der Kolk, 2014).
My education has been Masters in counselling and nursing. My work experience has mostly been counselling with adults (and seniors) with different mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, work stress, and stress from life issues. I am aware of many of the community resources that I may refer you to for a supplement to our journey.
I am offering a meditative practice that will help ground your body and mind to live a more satisfying life.
