The Conference was organized by the Spletno oko Hotline (Safer Internet Centre Slovenia, UL FSS), the Criminal Police Directorate of the General Police Directorate, and the Association of Informatics and Telecommunications at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia. The conference took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences in Ljubljana, Slovenia.
The program included three lectures (two in English and one in Croatian language):
- Dr. Elena Martellozzo, a well established criminologist on the global stage, discussed online harms, grooming and the effects of pornography on children and young people. Her presentation delved into the impact of pornography consumption on emotional, psychological, and social well-being, as well as strategies for addressing online grooming.
- Emilie Coomans, a Policy Advisor at Child Focus, the Belgian Foundation for missing and sexually exploited children, explored transactional sexting (the exchange of sexual content for money) and its societal implications. She discussed the root causes of this issue, the role of the media environment, and potential solutions, including insights from an undercover investigation.
- In a Croatian-language presentation, doc. dr. sc. Bruna Profaca, a clinical psychologist from the Zagreb Child and Youth Protection Center, focused on online sexual victimization of children and the impact of the COVID-19 health crisis. Her presentation highlighted risk factors and provided insights into addressing and preventing sexual abuse and exploitation of children online during the pandemic.

The conference, organized annually by Spletno oko, the Safer Internet Centre Slovenia (UL-FSS), the Criminal Police Directorate of the General Police Directorate, and the Association of Informatics and Telecommunications at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Slovenia, aims to unite professionals from various fields who may encounter online child sexual abuse in their line of work. This includes individuals in law enforcement agencies, the legal system, non-governmental organizations, legislative bodies, school counseling, education, and social work.
