Erik Ten Hag, born in 1970, is a Dutch professional football manager and former player who served as the manager of Manchester United between 2022 and 2024. In his first two seasons with the club, it won the EFL Cup and FA Cup. Prior to this he was manager at Ajax from 2017-22 and Utretcht from 2015-17. As a player, the centre-back began his career at Twente in 1989 then had two more stints at the club from 1992-94 and 1996-2002; in between he played for De Graafschap and Utrecht and retired in 2002 at the age of 32.
