Halting deforestation, and conserving and restoring forests and other ecosystems, is the single largest nature-based solution for climate mitigation. UN-REDD, together with our partner countries, work to generate and share knowledge to reach our ambitious forest climate goal.

Here you will find nine expert briefs bring together 10+ years of UN-REDD expertise and best practice for supporting partner countries to realise forest solutions to the climate emergency by avoiding carbon emissions and fostering carbon sequestration.

From this extensive and proven knowledge base, the Programme is now transitioning to a new phase, with a focus on supporting countries move from REDD+ readiness, to REDD+ implementation at scale; and REDD+ financing, from upfront investments to results-based payments.
