Halting deforestation, and conserving and restoring forests and other ecosystems, is the single largest nature-based solution for climate mitigation. UN-REDD, together with our partner countries, work to generate and share knowledge to reach our ambitious forest climate goal.

From this extensive and proven knowledge base, the Programme is now transitioning to a new phase, with a focus on supporting countries move from REDD+ readiness, to REDD+ implementation at scale; and REDD+ financing, from upfront investments to results-based payments.
