The Checker Task Force was created to implement an open-source Java library of a mobileOK Checker that allows someone to check easily whether a Web page conforms to the mobileOK Basic Tests 1.0 specification. With the release of the version 1.0 of the library, the Task Force switched to maintenance mode.

We very much welcome contributions to the open-source library, either as suggestions/bug reports/patches on our archived mailing list <public-mobileok-checker@w3.org>.

This Task Force has a public mailing list public-mobileOK-checker@w3.org, which is the primary means of communication (archives).

People who contributed to the development of the Checker: Sean Owen (Google), Miguel Garcia, Ignacio Marin and Abel Rionda (Fundacion CTIC), Jo Rabin (mTLD), Ruadhan O'Donoghue (mTLD), Roland Gülle (7Val), François Daoust and Dominique Hazaël-Massieux (W3C).
Sean Owen was the leader of the Task Force from its creation in early 2007 to June 2008.
