Vintage Harvest Mushroom Wood, also known as Reclaimed Hemlock Wood was used to line mushroom beds for many years and has a wonderful story of history and sustainabilty, with a unique caramel like patina.. During the Mushroom growth cycle, this wood is exposed to years of sustainable acid-laden compost, moisture and abrasion and has been used for this process dating back from 1896 unil today.. We carefully remove the boards from the growing beds, power wash each board, Kiln dry the wood and then begin milling the planks to 1/2 inch thick with lengths up to 48 inches..
