The article José Silva (parapsychologist) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Unreferenced article with a slanted POV that has clearly not shown signs of improvement in years
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
I am notifying this since the article falls under this WikiProject. Thank you.
CCI complete
Hello, a CCI relating to someone who basically only edited BLPs (though there are other scopes... this editor edited so much other stuff I can't notify all the projects ._.) just completed today. You can find it here, just make sure to check the revision history as we blanked the page. Some major articles include Shahid Balwa, Roman Abramovich, and Pablo Escobar off the top of my head. If this WikiProject is able to forward this to other Wikiprojects (especially for the ones with a lot of content removed; we would love to see them restored with content that follows copyright!), feel free to do so. Kind regards, and happy editing! Sennecaster (What now?) 03:36, 5 April 2021 (UTC)
Help with Draft
I have started a draft article about Draft: John Vogelstein, who started Warburg Pincus with Lionel Pincus. He’s a major figure in the history of finance and there’s no article about him. Would someone in this project like to offer advice and help with the draft? I have a COI because I have a personal relationship with Vogelstein. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fvogelstein (talk • contribs) 23:19, 9 April 2021 (UTC)
Student Updating a Wikipedia Page
Hi there, I am a student currently enrolled in a class where we have to improve a stub article. Our edits and the final quality of the wiki page will be used as our final marks. I will be updating/adding/editing '[Polyester Prince]' page over the coming 5 weeks. While this wiki page is an unauthorised biography and not exactly linked to this wikiproject, I do think it is relevant, and therefore, would love any input, advice, and tips over the coming weeks as I begin to slowly update the page. Thanks so much! --WaTErMelON690 (talk) 02:39, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
- @WaTErMelON690: I think you've got the wrong place, this WikiProject is about biographical articles, e.g. Barack Obama. Maybe Wikipedia:WikiProject Books could help? I'd also review your wikilinking - you don't need to use urls, just the article name. Kingsif (talk) 07:11, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Student Updating a Wikipedia Page
Hi everyone, I too am a student currently enrolled in a subject which requires the improvement of a stub article. I am writing on 'Hetty Johnston', an Australian politician and child sexual abuse advocate. I would really appreciate your advice and feedback over the coming weeks as our edits and contributions will make up our final grades for the subject. Thank you so much!Husseyp (talk) 10:49, 12 April 2021 (UTC)

Multiple birthyears of a BLP
I am working on putting references to birthdates on BLPs and have encountered a source detailing changes to the reported birth year of a BLP, Wang Ziwen. I have put out a message on Talk:Wang Ziwen over this. Would appreciate if someone who have experiences lend their 2c. thanks! – robertsky (talk) 15:48, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
Employer Infobox
Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question, but I've been looking for an answer or guideline and haven't had much luck. How do we determine employer for people employed at child subsidiaries? I saw this for Kathleen Kennedy (producer) and Kevin Feige who are the heads of child subsidiaries that are owned by Disney. Kennedy is the president of Lucasfilm and Feige is the head of Marvel Studios and is the CCO at Marvel Entertainment. In order to keep these pages consistent would the parent subsidiary be the employer or would it be the company for which the person works? If this is already outlined somewhere can someone point me in the direction? Thanks! --Nemov (talk) 19:10, 14 April 2021 (UTC)
Flagging edit request: AT&T CEO John Stankey
Hello – I’m making this post in the hopes of drawing editor attention to an edit request that's been posted for AT&T CEO John Stankey’s article. There are some inaccuracies and a few areas that needed clarifying, so I've submitted the request to hopefully have those addressed. Please note, I’ve proposed these edits for FleishmanHillard on behalf of AT&T. Thanks for your time and consideration! Jon Gray (talk) 21:37, 16 April 2021 (UTC)

Self-published print-on-demand works in bibliography of scientist?
Hi there. See Marc van Roosmalen. What's the standard treatment here? I removed them to talk, but someone is being difficult. Regards, 86.83.56.115 (talk) 16:20, 19 April 2021 (UTC)
Search for Wittgenstein scores
Dear all,
As a pianist specifically interested in the works that were written for Paul Wittgenstein, I would like to know who currently possesses the PW Archives in which there are still scores that are unavailable to the public. Even if Wittgenstein himself was unwilling to share his scores during his lifetime, he did say that he didn’t want the works to gather dust on shelves after his death. Unfortunately his widow Hilde Schania let them do just that until she died in 2002. The year after, the collection was bought on a Sotheby’s auction by the Octavian Society in Hong Kong. Although some good work was done there with the music (such as studies, edition and publishing of Franz Schmidt’s three Quintets), a part of the archive was auctioned once more into the hands of someone unknown to me. That most probably means that several works of music are again being kept locked away because someone just paid for it, 60 years after Wittgenstein’s death. I understand very well that some people want to own manuscripts as a form of treasure, but it is my belief that musicians should at any time be allowed to play the compositions. What else is music for, but to be played and heard?!
So, who wants to help me rediscover these works? To name a few which have not been heard in public since Wittgenstein himself played them:
Rudolf Braun - Piano concerto (1926-27)
Sergei Bortkiewicz - Four left-hand transcriptions
Moriz Rosenthal - New Viennese Carnival and two other solo compositions
Eduard Schütt - Paraphrase for piano and orchestra
Luckily, other works are available now through music publishers, libraries and (with some detective work) private persons/family members of the composers. That’s how I have been able to perform several pieces again. After the Covid era has faded, I will continue to revive Wittgenstein’s music - as a soloist and with my ensemble devoted to W’s chamber music. Have a look at www.wittgensteinproject.com.

Could new contributors be provided with a template they can fill in? Or several?
I have a stub (Lionel Bradley Pett) I would like to "upgrade" a little more, but looking at the fully fleshed-out bios like Albert Einstein there are clearly some layout and content "norms" (eg a contents list including "life and career", the sidebar with picture etc). For those who are not very familiar with Wikipedia markup or who just want to have a basic "scaffold", a template they could copy and paste into and customize depending on the information available and what is most relevant would be useful I think.
If the idea seems useful I could try to produce such a template as a draft (and to aid my own work) and more experienced editors could pitch in. What do you think?

The core contest
From June 1 to July 15, the Core Contest will be launched in its ninth iteration. It's an exciting contest, running over a period of six weeks, with £250 of prize money for the articles that are most improved. It would be neat if we could get participants to improve a biography, with Simón Bolivar and Tolstoy just two of the vital article judged to be C-class. FemkeMilene (talk) 15:18, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- Just because I see the mention, I would put a note on Bolívar's article: nationalist propaganda is a major part of Chavism and while Venezuelan SPAs aren't so prolific anymore, I think there's been edit wars on how much to hero-fy Bolívar in the past. It might take a big effort. Kingsif (talk) 16:18, 2 May 2021 (UTC)
- So an important article to get right :). The talk page seems relatively quiet for a controversial topic, so it may be doable in six weeks. FemkeMilene (talk) 16:46, 2 May 2021 (UTC)

Tom Little's Sunflower Street
I would like to chage the end date of Tom Little's daily panel Sunflower Street, which is important because it depicted the life of a black community between 1934 and 1950. The strip was written by Tom Sims and drawn by political cartoonist Tom Little, both white. In 1950 it was withdrawn by it's syndicate for possible racial issues. I think that is interestng as a study subject on it's own and in the larger context op King Features history. The Wikipedia page for Tom Little is the only place this panel is mentioned. Further on, I would love to do a seperate entry for Sunflower Street. But for now a factual correction of the end dat would be great. I have found a newspaper clipping stating that Sunflower Street was withdrawn by the syndicate from 1950-04-03. Unfortunately, that clipping is on a blog, run by blogger, which makes the link controversial. Due to the fact that it is an actual newspaper clipping I wonder how I should insert that link. Can anyone help? By the ay, here is the link to the whole blogger page, the clipping (and the date in the file name) is the last one on the page. If I link to the clipping seperately, I lose the date in the file name.

Name parameter {{Infobox sportsperson}}
The guideline says: «If this parameter is omitted, the name of the article is used.» Which in my way of understanding means that, in the event that the name of the person is the same as that of the article, it is recommended to omit it. However, I am undergoing systematic reverts by a user who instead believes it is necessary to add it. How should I behave? --Kasper2006 (talk) 15:20, 15 May 2021 (UTC)
