Stop reverting edits that are just kind of unusually-phrased on the 2024 Community Response to ANIvsWMF
[edit]Emotions are running high in the community, but this is unacceptable behavior on Wikipedia. I will report this to WP:ANI if you continue.
I once got in trouble for something similar, and said I would not do it again. My personal code means that I must thus intervene when I see it occurring in other cases. I don't know who IP editor Chloe is but you cannot silence voices at your whim. Even if Chloe posted it in role-playing/prose format with which you may be unfamiliar, the actual message regarding Wikipedian politics is very clear and cannot be removed without good reason. That page is the place for voicing the opinions of the community and determining consensus response, and the community includes IP editors and people who type in unusual ways.
At best, this is a mistake in which you presumed vandalism or trolling. Please familiarize yourself with the definitions of such before you take action interfering with an active discussion. At worst, it is discrimination against the neurodivergent, or just those who like to add a little spice to their posts.
I will assume good faith (that you made a mistake, especially with the Twinkle tag - I know how hair-trigger Twinkle users can be), but you must note that you are engaging in disruptive editing.
Don't bite the newbies, or the experienced will bite back in their defense. I've watchlisted that page now. LesbianTiamat (She/Her) (troll/pester) 23:35, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- Calm down. I thought the IP was trolling as another editor reverted them too and they were blocked for trolling a few months ago. Frost 23:59, 7 December 2024 (UTC)
- I'm as calm as a bomb. I see something of great value in that editor, and will defend that IP editor and teach the ways of Wikipedia. Your detached, apathetic overreaction was highly disruptive. Please consider your actions more carefully in the future. As the page for Twinkle notes, you are responsible for edits performed using it. - Your post on the IP's page is commendable. I hope you're not discouraged by the recent drama, and sorry you had to go through that. Frost 21:19, 8 December 2024 (UTC)

vandalism
[edit]Hi Frost - there is no source for the edit you reverted on Jose Antonio Vargas because it is vandalism. The change is not true and will not be supported by any reliable source. Thanks for the revert. Tvoz/talk 02:22, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
- Thanks for the note. Frost 09:32, 9 December 2024 (UTC)
A barnstar for you!

This is your only warning. If you continue to revert vandalism before me.. Actually, I'm not sure what I'd do. Thanks a bunch for helping us keep Wikipedia clean, Frost! / RemoveRedSky [talk] 18:30, 10 December 2024 (UTC) |
- No problem. Thanks for the barnstar!! Frost 18:41, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
- I second this Barnstar, thank you! I also love these books, (and the tv show as well)! L.E. Rainer 19:21, 10 December 2024 (UTC)
Can you please properly source this? Bearian (talk) 11:38, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- Sure, I'll do it soon. Frost 12:20, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
Hey, I noticed you kept the disambiguation page in place instead of just using a hatnote for the two others (WP:TWOOTHER) for the move at Lee Young-ja. Any specific reasoning for that? Or any objection to me proceeding with using a hatnote and CSDing the unnecessary disambiguation page? RachelTensions (talk) 12:25, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
- No, go ahead if you think it should be done. Frost 12:32, 14 December 2024 (UTC)
