Elections in New York State |
---|
The 2024 New York State Assembly election was held on November 5, 2024. This election coincided with elections for U.S. Senate, U.S. House of Representatives, the U.S. presidential election, and state senate, among others. Districts for this election were redrawn pursuant to court order in Nichols v. Hochul,[1] though the lines passed by the Independent Redistricting Commission and the state legislature on April 28, 2023, were nearly identical to the 2022 districts.[2] Democrats have held a majority in the New York State Assembly since 1975.
