Currently, Guillermo del Toro § Awards and nominations is misleading. The noms+wins listed are not for Del Toro, but for films he has directed. For example, in the lead we say "A recipient of three Academy Awards" while in aforementioned section we list a "Total" of "8" "Academy Awards" "Wins". In similar articles, we do show such Oscar+BAFTA+Globe overviews in a table, also with an accompanying link to the subject's main awards article, but then we list the person's noms+wins. While a workaround would be to add a sentence that says something like "His films have...", I'm not sure that's a proper solution, given the subject of this article is the person. --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:7BB1:ECF5:7FBE:B5A1 (talk) 05:40, 2 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Why not allow visitors to read about the film maker's interests, particularly his favorite films. Deletionism is a terrible thing. Stop trying to get content that I and others find interesting to read out of articles just because you're not interested in reading certain paragraphs. --2001:1C06:19CA:D600:CE50:362E:59EA:6942 (talk) 07:19, 13 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Regarding Mr del Toro's father, this article says: "...Del Toro's family had to pay twice the amount originally asked for as a ransom ($1 million)."
Were the kidnappers demanding $500,000 (in US dollars?) and received $1 million total? Or was $1 million the original sum demanded that was eventually doubled?
