I'm Hillary Lipko, my online alias is LaMenta3. I graduated from Georgia Tech in 2008 and again in 2010 with a bachelors and a masters (respectively) in Public Policy. I currently work a consultant and have worn a number of professional hats over the years.
Sometimes my editing habits overlap with my academic and professional interests, but most of the time they don't. I'm pretty much an omnivorous editor—I'll work on pretty much anything that even slightly piques my interest or seems like I could easily improve. I particularly enjoy helping new editors navigate the complicated weirdness that is Wikipedia. A large portion of my significant contributions have come from AfDs which are (improperly) nominated for surmountable problems such as style and sourcing. Many of my edits are also related to my alma mater, as I'm an active contributor to Wikiproject Georgia Tech. And because it's where I live, I've ended up improving and writing articles about all sorts of things in and related to Atlanta, Georgia. I occasionally abuse the Random Article button to waste time when I should be doing something else (you know, like actual work or something). All that said, my contributions aren't always wholly reflective of my personal interests, activities, endorsements, etc. A lot of the time, I just edit where I feel I'm "needed" or because I fell down some sort of weird rabbit hole while procrastinating.
Speaking of my interests, I like photography, my Betta fish, volunteering at fan conventions, spaceflight and spaceflight history, Star Trek, and volunteering with FIRST LEGO League. My photography hobby occasionally carries over into my Wikipedia habit, and you can see several of my photographic contributions below. Also, since I've uploaded a lot of my photos to Flickr under a Creative Commons license, I occasionally come across images of mine uploaded by others. That's pretty cool.
Stuff that I use or check on often. Useful for me, useful for people helping me out, useful for people I'm helping out...you get the point.
