Saw your edit to the template; yeah, I lurk. I've read up quite a bit on the NAF, and there is almost no information on the FN project; it seems to be vapor. This leads me to believe that it was immediately terminated and virtually nothing was done other than assigning a serial number to the unbuilt prototype. For what it's worth, the project emerged in the early 1930s when the American aircraft industry (not to mention the economy in general) was in an absolute shambles, and the NAF was already under heavy scrutiny for allegedly exceeding its congressional mandate; the feeling was that aircraft production projects should be given to private industry to keep people employed, and the NAF should stick to technical analysis and purely experimental work.
