3. T-Life App Hit the Scene

T-Mobile launched its new T-Life app in February, giving a major glow-up to the way customers manage their Un-carrier life — whether you want to change your plan, upgrade your device or just see what kinds of deals and free stuff you can score every week through T-Mobile Tuesdays. The customer experience is easier than ever with one app for everything — and the masses have noticed: In December 2024, T-Life reached the No. 1 spot overall on both the Apple App Store and Google Play, surpassing 47.5 million active users. 4. Changed the Game for Sports Fans

T-Mobile took sports tech to the next level with exciting 5G enhancements at major sporting events this year. Kicking off the year with Taylor’s boyfriend’s Big Game, fans at Allegiant Stadium and across Las Vegas used the permanent upgrades T-Mobile made (partly for the 2023 Grand Prix), helping local and visiting fans share every moment in real-time. By the spring, T-Mobile's first-ever 5G private network in U.S. golf delivered stunning broadcast quality shots of Hole 13 and exclusive fan experiences at the PGA Championship. 5. Pulled the Ultimate Flex in Prepaid

In May, Metro by T-Mobile launched its new Metro Flex plans, tackling prepaid’s biggest “yada” by offering customers an industry-first: a free 5G phone when they join and the same great deals as new customers when they stay. Metro celebrated the launch with Chrissy Teigen in Times Square, where people could share their biggest relationship “flex” moments for a chance to win a trip to Nada Yada Island (aka a dream vacation). 6. Kept Customers Connected from Gate to Gate

With free full flight Wi-Fi on most domestic flights on Alaska, American, Delta and United Airlines, T-Mobile customers on Go5G plans don’t have to worry about being offline at 30,000 feet, making summer travel more enjoyable than ever. And collectively, T-Mobile customers took advantage of this sweet perk in a major way, using over 28 million free Wi-Fi sessions this year alone! 7. Put a Taste of Magenta in That Me Espresso

Magenta Status seriously turned up the volume — especially as summer concert season heated up — with exclusive perks like T-Mobile Reserved Tickets. This fan-favorite benefit gives customers access to tickets for the hottest concerts, comedy shows, festivals, Vegas residencies and more, including Sabrina Carpenter’s latest tour. And T-Mobile didn’t stop there. To celebrate, T-Mobile partnered with Sabrina Carpenter to bring “Sweet Spot” pop-up trucks to select cities like Los Angeles, Dallas and Seattle, where fans got to snag last minute tickets, Sabrina-themed treats, limited-edition signed merch and other goodies. 8. Gave Small-Town Teams Big-Time Victories

T-Mobile’s Friday Night 5G Lights competition kicked off football season with some help from NFL legend Rob Gronkowski — you know, Gronk! After months of fierce competition among more than 1,700 high schools across all 50 states and votes from thousands of fans worldwide for the Top 16 finalists, Inola High School from Inola, Oklahoma emerged victorious, securing the grand prize (a $2 million value!) to transform its high school football field into a state-of-the-art stadium. The win includes a $100,000 grant for the school, weight room from GronkFitness.com, new teched-out scoreboard, consultation with football field experience experts, 5G network upgrades package and an epic tailgate party celebration with live music and a 5G-powered halftime drone show. 9. Unveiled Bold Future Plans at Capital Markets Day

T-Mobile’s Capital Markets Day event in September outlined an ambitious three-year strategy to shake up the wireless and broadband landscapes (yep, again), aiming to deliver a $10 billion increase in Core Adjusted EBITDA by 2027 at the high-end of guidance. The plan will leverage the power of AI to enhance customer experiences and streamline operations, while working in partnership with NVIDIA, Ericsson and Nokia on cutting-edge projects such as the AI-RAN Innovation Center. Key objectives include expanding market share, boosting broadband and expanding into smart new adjacencies, from connectivity solutions for first responders through T-Priority to T-Ads — ultimately delivering strong returns for shareholders. 10. Connected More for Less

11. Up-leveled Education for Students Nationwide

T-Mobile continued to push forward on Project 10Million — the Un-carrier’s $10.7 billion commitment to close the educational digital divide by offering free internet connectivity and mobile hotspots for up to 10 million eligible student households. In September, T-Mobile expanded its Project 10Million offering, doubling the included data from 100GB to 200GB and adding a new low-cost 10GB data pass option if users hit their data limit. And in early October, T-Mobile partnered with Grammy-winning artist and education advocate Common to further amplify its efforts. Through Project 10Million and its other education initiatives, T-Mobile has connected nearly 6 million students since 2020, providing $6.4 billion in products and services to keep the future bright.
