  • 12.01.1933 Entered service as Wanganella Flag: Australia
  • 28.12.1937 Collided with a trawler off the coast of New South Wales.
  • 19.06.1940 Assisted with the rescue of passengers from the RMS Niagara, after the latter hit a mine and sank off the coast of Auckland.
  • 1941 Converted to hospital ship. Renamed: Australian Hospital Ship AHS Wanganella
  • 19.06.1941 Started to carry wounded and sick evacuees from the Middle East, New Guinea, Solomon Islands, Borneo and the South Pacific
  • 1946 Returned to her civilian operator
  • 19.01.1947 Struck Barrett Reef, while making her first trans-Tasman voyage after the war, and stuck fast. For 18 days the ship spent on the reef. No-one was injured, and the passengers were taken off the ship the morning after the accident. The damage she incurred put her out of service for twenty-two months, mainly as a result of industrial action while she was laid-up in a floating dock for repairs.
  • 1960 Sold to scrap metal dealer Albert G Sims, and went to Sigapore for scrapping. Due to a drop in scrap metal prices the ship returned to service
  • 1963 Laid-up at Doubtful Sound, NZ as an accommodation ship for workers
  • 04.1970 Towed to Taiwan
  • 05.06.1970 Broken up in Kaohsiung
