Lion etc. categories

[edit]Dear Sir, I am coordinating the publication of a new textbook of zoology (in Italian) and I wonder whether I can use your picture published in: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File%3APycnogonum_litorale_(dorsal).jpg In the case, you will be credited for it. Best regards and thank you for your attention. Loriano Ballarin

- I did not take this image, so am NOT in a position to give you permission to use it in your textbook. -- BhagyaMani (talk) 15:54, 27 April 2019 (UTC)
Image formats
[edit]Hi, thank you for uploading some images to Commons. Here's a tip: Use the right image format for the kind of image. As a general rule, this is JPEG for photographs, and PNG for most other kinds of images. Using the wrong format can bloat the file size and/or degrade the quality of the image. Most modern graphics applications will give you the choice between these formats among others. See also Commons:File types#Images. Good luck. Smjg (talk) 17:45, 13 April 2020 (UTC)
Asking about how to create range maps
[edit]Hi, I saw that you created a range map for red pandas. I'd like to ask, how do you create these range maps? I'd really appreciate it, thanks! Windywendi (talk) 21:12, 2 March 2023 (UTC)

If you created this file, please note that the fact that it has been proposed for deletion does not necessarily mean that we do not value your kind contribution. It simply means that one person believes that there is some specific problem with it, such as a copyright issue. Please see Commons:But it's my own work! for a guide on how to address these issues. |
