What OS is this for? I just checked the iOS app on my iPad and still only lets you edit start and finish times but not the categorisation of 5ge activity.
It does look like it. I use the app on my iPad to sync with the Inspire 3 but have the app on my Android phone. So I was able to change my Outdoor Cycling Activity to Lawn Mowing from early May using the app on my phone. Hopefully they will eventually update the iOS app.
I updates the iOS app this afternoon and the app still will not let me edit an activity. It just reinforces why I have a distinct lack of trust with Google and their activities.
I can only update my activity name on the website dashboard, not in the iOS app. They are removing the website dashboard in July. After that we are stuck.
Need to be able to edit activity names as full list of custom activities does not appear on watch so you can’t choose the correct activity before you do a workout. Most people just select workout and change the name later. Originally done using app but once that functionality was removed done using web dashboard which has also gone now

There has been numerous comments about not being to change the exercise type on the app and on line.. There are hundreds of votes regarding this issue. One used to be able to rename it on the app, then the app was updated, and it could only be done on line. Now it can not even be changed online.
Google, Are you going to reinstate this feature, that you eliminated? The longer you wait to correct this, the more users Fitbit will loose. As you can see, many have already left for Apple or Garmin. .
Since Google bought Fitbit, I figured with the resources of Google, the app would improve but in reality, since the acquisition, the app has gone downhill.
This feature has been reinstated for Android, at least for me (Pixel 6 Pro), since my earlier post. Hopefully this means it will eventually be reinstated for all users.
Still not fixed on iOS. Adding an edit function back to a form field is not a difficult thing to do in the coding world. Google could have easily fixed this by now. It appears that they don’t intend to do so. They told me today to just start tracking all my exercises manually! Nope, I paid for and expect an automated exercise tracker that has the ability to allow me to edit the data if it’s not correct. Just like it used to be!
For the past few weeks my Fitbit isn’t even syncing manually tracked activities anymore, even though sleep and biometrics still sync. It’s like they just want their tech to become useless.
