Sense battery drain even when shutdown

ANSWERED

Yesterday my battery was at 45% before I shutdown. This morning it was at 0. Is there a way to shutdown completely?

Moderator edit: clarified subject.

@eznohstar- I did some checking for you with my watch and normal battery loss for a Sense when shutdown is about 1% per day, or less ,because starting it each day to check uses some extra battery. If yours is more than that there would seem to be a problem.

@eznohstar- make sure you read the battery level from the watch - swipe the face right to get to Quick Settings to check the level [or even charge it briefly to get the actual level] then do another Shutdown from the Settings menu.

Some watches retain the time even though they are shutdown, so some current is used but if the watch had a fault, like short battery life [after getting wet perhaps] there can be an internal short that continues to drain the battery.

Interestingly it seems to last much longer if I don't shut it down.
