Thoughts on university computer curricula

Published: 01 September 1984 Publication History

Abstract

The forms of computer programs that might be found at a university are discussed. The idea is established that computer curricula at a university should reflect the extent and depth of computer use in society. That extent and depth is great and pervades most every area of life. Similarly, computer curricula, programs and courses at universities should exist and florish in all disciplines and not be restricted to residency in just one or two in the names of efficiency and/or required special expertise.
