Pretty sad article
editDoesn't do him much justice, does it? No references, and what is this about his wife remaining "steadfast in her marriage vows"? Just a bit weird.KD Tries Again (talk) 03:52, 2 March 2009 (UTC)KD Tries Again
Also, in the filming of Jolson, Al Jolson treated him like dirt; wouldn't even talk to him, miffed that he couldn't play himself. Missaeagle (talk) 06:28, 30 December 2017 (UTC)
Finances/Quality of Life During Blacklist
editThe article currently says that:
- "Parks made only a few more films, but continued to eke out a living acting on the stage and doing occasional television programs."
But the Betty Garrett (his wife) article currently says that:
- "Parks formed a highly successful construction business, and eventually the couple owned many apartment buildings scattered throughout the Los Angeles metropolitan area. Rather than sell them upon completion, Parks decided to retain ownership and collect rents as a landlord, a decision that proved to be extremely profitable."
The phrase "..eke out a living.." seems misleading when contrasted with "..highly successful construction business.." and "..extremely profitable..".
Perhaps an editor with a good knowledge of Parks and Garrett could re-word either or both articles.
Compatibility
editIs his being a property magnate compatible with his earlier membership in a party cell? Did he renounce his youthful relationships?71.168.138.59 (talk) 04:09, 2 March 2015 (UTC)Hans Wurst
