There's a distribution in Hawaii can anyone tell me more about this?
editIve heard that someone gathered seeds from a hike where a few Socoratan protopunica were around but I don't know what mountain or anything more specific here or on Innaturalist. WelwitschiaTokarev (talk) 02:12, 19 August 2023 (UTC)
- I've looked into this more, I messaged an Ebay seller who sold seeds and found that there is one plant grown in the Hawaiian Koko Crater Botanical Garden. Seeds were sold on Ebay and due to the rarity of this species It appears all specimens in the USA are probably from this one planted specimen that has since produced fruit and have been distributed. The source of this information is directly from interaction with a seller of these seeds through email exchanges. WelwitschiaTokarev (talk) 03:28, 25 January 2024 (UTC)
