Prior Andrew of Wyntoun, author of the 15th century historical work called Oryginalle Cronykil of Scotland ... Andrew also recorded a number of tales that were re-appeared four centuries later in William Shakespeare's 'Scottish Play'...
MacBeth was performed in the 17th century (estimated first performance 1606). This would have been two centuries later rather than four. It's possible the given date of Andrew's writing is incorrect, but rather than try to reconcile it, I've simply rewritten the sentence. 67.8.203.16 (talk) 19:22, 27 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
