Fayan Wenyi

Fayan Wenyi (885-958) (Fa-yen Wen-in, Jpn. Hōgen Bun'eki) was a Chinese Chán-master from the Five Dynasties and Ten Kingdoms period. He stands in the lineage of Shitou Xiqian, Deshan Xuanjian and Xuefeng Yicun.[1] The Fayan school was named after Fayan.
