  • Don't be afraid to edit! Just find something that can be improved and make it better. Other editors will help fix any mistakes you make.
  • It's normal to feel a little overwhelmed, but don't worry if you don't understand everything at first—it's fine to edit using common sense.
  • If an edit you make is reverted, you can discuss the issue at the article's talk page. Be civil, and don't restore the edit unless there is consensus.
  • Always use edit summaries to explain your changes.
  • When adding new content to an article, always include a citation to a reliable source.
  • If you wish to edit about a subject with which you are affiliated, read our conflict of interest guide and disclose your connection.

Speedy deletion nomination of User:DrRandallPhilip/sandbox

edit

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. A tag has been placed on User:DrRandallPhilip/sandbox requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Hello,
Can I ask what makes my account be requested to be speedily deleted? I was in the middle of important encyclopedic work I'm not sure I'll be able to ever do again because you have placed by personal, unfinished sandbox draft up for speedy deletion. DrRandallPhilip (talk) 03:03, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
Honestly, I'm not going to lie, I just created about 8 hours worth of important information about 764 to help keep a lot of people secure and knowledgeable and absolutely none of it saved because you changed my sandbox before I could save even once. I am extremely frustrated and upset about how many hours of effort you wasted over this. I'd really appreciate an explanation as to why you deemed this so necessary or I will be contacting someone regarding your status. DrRandallPhilip (talk) 03:11, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hello, I'm Helpful Raccoon. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, 764 (organization), but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Helpful Raccoon (talk) 04:38, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Please do not create, maintain or restore hoaxes on Wikipedia. If you are interested to know how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements already in Wikipedia – and, if possible, correct them. Please do not disrupt Wikipedia. Continued disruption will be met with sanctions, which could include a block from editing. Feel free to take a look at the five pillars of Wikipedia to learn more about this project and how you can contribute constructively. Thank you. Speedy deletion nomination of Draft:Chaosatanism

edit

Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, introducing hoaxes, such as Draft:Chaosatanism, is considered to be vandalism and is prohibited. If you are interested in how accurate Wikipedia is, a more constructive test method would be to try to find inaccurate statements that are already in Wikipedia—and then to correct them if possible. If you would like to make test edits, please use the sandbox. Under section G3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, the page has been nominated for deletion. Repeated vandalism may result in the loss of editing privileges.

Hi

edit

I noticed you have been working on a couple of drafts and the 764 page. While I see you have put in a lot of work, wikipedia demands we have a source for every claim, which I didn't really see in all of your edits. Please don't be discouraged, though! Just giving a heads up so your work doesn't go to waste. And welcome to wikipedia.RKT7789 (talk) 07:29, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply

Original research

edit

On your user page, you've stated "I am attempting to promote original thought through my contributions". That type of contribution would be considered original research, and is not the purpose of Wikipedia. I have declined the speedy deletion request as a hoax for Draft:Chaosatanism. However, that does not mean it is in any way acceptable for inclusion on Wikipedia. Topics need to be supported by significant coverage in independent reliable sources. -- Whpq (talk) 16:12, 17 December 2024 (UTC)Reply
