RE: Peta Talk
editWhile I agree that the statement is in violation of WP:Talk, another poster asked for references (often a way to shut down the accuser), and it does not fall under the "unacceptable" category. Because of that, and that I don't think talk should be removed ever (but rather repremanded and eventually archived), I re-added your removal. Talk pages have much more leeway than the article, and I think if even an obvious statement like "Peta is evil" still stimulates discussion. Bytebear (talk) 00:25, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I see your point, and I agree that if it gets out of hand, it should be stopped, but I also think when someone responds asking for more information, or when the conversation can move toward a more constructive discussion, it should stay. The fact is, many people do think Peta is evil, and that should be explored. Bytebear (talk) 00:41, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
- I guess I'm naive and think that the POV stuff is posted as serious. Thanks for dealing with it.Bob98133 (talk) 00:59, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Notable bio?
editNoticed you used to be an ordained minister. I look at peoples user pages to try and figure out how to best fix mine up. Anyhow, when I read about the being an ex minister I thought I might get you to take a look at Arnold Murray. It's a bio of a televangelist but all of the references seem to rely on religious websites. Not exactly what I'd call reliable sources. The person working on this page has been putting an awful lot of work into it. I've tagged it with a notability needed template but was thinking if I should AfD it or not? Probably sources out there but I was unsuccessful using Google News. The article was AfD previous and result was delete. Think this is a vastly different version though. I did request on the articles talk page that reliable sources be found. Sting au Buzz Me... 04:55, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

editHello I find your comment on the discussion "List of Roundabouts in Billings, Montana" unprofessional and immature!!!

The "Oh man, I really should get around to writing list of transsexual graphic artists living in the closet, list of men with dyed red beards, List of boats in Anchorage... zzz!" is uncalled for for a comment. It insults me, my town and my state. So if can't be professional, then just don't say anything at all!!!!

Nightwish, HIM, and Epica are not Gothic Metal
editDo not add them in there. Nightwish has never played Gothic Metal. They are Symphonic metal and Power metal or just Symphonic Power Metal. It has been agreed that they are not Gothic metal same thing with Epica and HIM. Do not edit them in there again please. --Turemetalfan (talk) 00:56, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
No you don't have the right to Edit it has all ready been said and talked about and agreed upoan that Nightwish is not Gothic Metal. If you really want some proof here you go http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=39
HIM has never played Gothic Metal ever. You can go and list them as Goth Rock. But it's not Gothic Metal.
Epica is Symphonic metal. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:07, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Nightwish has never played Gothic Metal
editand occasionally playing a variation dose not cut it. Either they have played it full time or they have not played it at all. Occasionally does not cut. If we go by occasionally it become POV and ever metal band in the world could then be add scene almost ever metal band in the world has occasionally played a Gothic Metal song. Why don't I just start adding Metallica, Kamelot, Iced Earth, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom, etc, etc. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:13, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Wow you are given proof and you don't even want to read it
editWhy won't you read the Proof I just posted about Nightwish? I will post it again for you http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=39 http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=39 http://www.metal-archives.com/band.php?id=39
Heck even on last FM they are listed as symphonic metal or power metal http://www.last.fm/music/Nightwish And here's one more http://www.discogs.com/artist/Nightwish
Nightwish has never played Gothic Metal ever. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:22, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Yes you do have to be a full Gothic metal band. You have not given proof I have. And on top of that After Forever has played on two CD's full Gothic Metal. Epica has only ever played Symphonic metal starting with TPA, then going into CtO it was a Symphonic metal/Rock. There new CD TDC has Symphonic metal with more Prog, Death, and Black metal elements and no Gothic Metal at all. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:23, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
So you are not going to find any proof to back up anything you say. That's nice you do know that falls under POV don't you? Here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view#POV_forks Either come up with some proof with what you say or you will be reported for POV. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:48, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
kerrang is not a ref it's a mag Your still just adding in POV. And then you go and say I can't ust metal-archives but you can. I'm sorry but you are doing nothing but adding POV and are making up your own rules as you go. --Turemetalfan (talk) 01:48, 7 February 2008 (UTC)
Non of the above bands are Gothic Metal except Tristania.
* After Forever was a Symphonic Metal band before adding Progressive Metal in their latest albums. * Epica is a Symphonic Metal band. * The Gathering is already listed. * Graveworm has no connection to Gothic Metal, being part of the Symphonic Black Metal scene. * HIM is an Alternative Rock band, with no connection to Gothic Metal. * Lacuna Coil is already listed. * Leaves' Eyes is already listed. * Liv Kristine is a vocalist, not a band. * Midnattsol should be added. * Moonspell is a Gothic-Doom band, and is already listed. * Nightwish is a Symphonic Power Metal band, nothing to do with Gothic Metal. * Sirenia is already listed. * Seasons End are not Gothic Metal, and as such are not listed. * Switchblade Symphony have no connection to any metal, least of all Gothic Metal. * The Sins Of Thy Beloved is already listed. * The 69 Eyes is a Glam Rock band with no connection to Gothic Metal. * Theater of Tragedy is already listed. * Within Temptation is Symphonic Metal with no connection to Gothic Metal apart from being influenced by the scene. * Xandria are not Gothic Metal, and so are not listed.
Your IPod is a bunch of random bands you like, most of which have nothing to do with Gothic Metal. Non of these bands will be added to the list because they are not Gothic Metal. Please read the article and understand what Gothic Metal is before trying to claim unrelated bands as being part of the genre. Ley Shade 13:51, 1 June 2006 (UTC)

I dont' care what Kerrang list them as. They list bands all over the map. And you told me I can't use metal-archives as a reference but it's ok for you to. Dude you don't your make up your own rules as you guy just to pick fights with people. AfD nomination of List of vegans
editAn editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of vegans. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").
Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of vegans. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).
You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.
Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:10, 11 April 2010 (UTC)
The article Customary Aboriginal law has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- This article is profoundly, and in my view offensively, ignorant. Aboriginal customary law (as it is more usually called) is not just pre-colonial but continues to exist. Although the article correctly states that it takes many forms, the article then contradictorily refers only to the forms and nomenclature of (it would seem) a single people, using a single source - from 1837. Even then, the links to that source do not function. There should be an article"Aboriginal law (Australia)", but this one is unimprovable.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Wikiain (talk) 22:38, 19 May 2011 (UTC)
- See now Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Customary_Aboriginal_law. I don't have a big problem with what you originally wrote, but the article seems now to have gone off the rails. --Wikiain (talk) 06:48, 20 May 2011 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. Hope all is well
editHello The Librarian! I hope you are doing well. I just wanted to let you know that I added you to Wikipedia:Missing Wikipedians. If you ever come back, or choose not to have your name on this list, just let me know. Hope you come back, even just to check in, Lima Bean Farmer (talk) 21:02, 19 September 2021 (UTC)
