- The result of the discussion was: no consensus. (non-admin closure) Qwerfjkltalk 15:32, 11 November 2023 (UTC)
- Propose merging Category:Private members' clubs to Category:Clubs and societies
- Nominator's rationale: In Wikipedia:Categories_for_discussion/Log/2023_October_4#Category:Private_clubs_in_Toronto, more people complained about this category being redundant, due to clubs being inherently private, than discussed the subcategories that were nominated. –LaundryPizza03 (dc̄) 21:03, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep Seems a sensible category - I've made the very extensive Category:Gentlemen's clubs tree a sub-cat; of course most of these now have women members. Some clubs are much more private than others. Johnbod (talk) 21:23, 13 October 2023 (UTC)
- Merge, subjective distinction. E.g. what makes Annabel's more private than other clubs? Marcocapelle (talk) 04:33, 14 October 2023 (UTC)
- It's the usage. Of course the various stamp-collecting etc societies in Category:Clubs and societies are private, but they can mostly be joined by anyone ready to pay the sub. Johnbod (talk) 02:51, 21 October 2023 (UTC)
- Keep 'Private members' clubs' is the recognised term for these clubs which used to be known as 'Gentleman's clubs'. They are more rarefied than other member's clubs such as Working men's clubs in British parlance. Annabel's and other clubs are exclusive as they invariably require proposers and seconders for membership before extracting a hefty annual fee. No Swan So Fine (talk) 14:16, 18 October 2023 (UTC)

Please add new comments below this notice. Thanks, HouseBlastertalk 16:42, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
- Merge - It would appear that this cat only exists to contain Gentleman's clubs which include women. Easily solved by a merge to Category:Clubs and societies, which would also have Category:Gentlemen's clubs as a subcat. - jc37 11:19, 31 October 2023 (UTC)
- The articles are already elsewhere in the tree of Category:Clubs and societies so merge translates as deletion. Marcocapelle (talk) 22:15, 2 November 2023 (UTC)

- Nominator's rationale: Stadium OTA service to end 10/30; Nest article hasn't been created yet; rename or delete if possible Mvcg66b3r (talk) 04:50, 30 October 2023 (UTC)

- The result of the discussion was: delete. There is only one article in this category – Antoni Blank – so I think it is more appropriate to discuss whether it should be in Category:German emigrants to Poland at Talk:Antoni Blank (as opposed to CfD). @Smasongarrison and Marcocapelle: feel free to open said discussion. - Just delete, the only article is about someone who moved from Warsaw to Dresden and after 6 years moved back to Warsaw. (And Dresden was not even part of the Kingdom of Prussia.) Marcocapelle (talk) 04:51, 30 October 2023 (UTC)
