Soviet nonconformist art was a significant branch of the Russian art during the Soviet era. These 70 years the most of artists in the USSR have more or less collaborated with the communist authority. However, there were some notable personality in Russia, which retained their independent point of view. Group of these brave souls are representing the Soviet epoch particularly bright.
