Hassan Abdel Ghani (Arabic: حسن عبد الغني) is a Syrian commander and spokesman for the Syrian rebel coalition. He became known for his recent actions during the offensive attacks against the forces of Bashar Al-Assad.[1][2][3]

Career

Abdel Ghani is a senior commander of the Islamist group Hayat Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). He operates as the group's spokesman and following the fast offensive move in which major cities in Syria including the capital Damascus have become under HTS control, he addressed the media, stating that Syria is now free and that all religions will be safe to live there, as tyranny has gone forever.[4]
