My name is Don, and I was born in Ashtabula County, in Northeast Ohio, living near Conneaut and Ashtabula until 1980. My family then moved to Mercer County, Pennsylvania, and my parents have lived near Fredonia ever since.

I later attended college at The Pennsylvania State University in State College , returning back to Mercer County in 1990. Other places I lived from 1992-1996 include Jackson Center, PA, Warren, OH, Masury, OH, and West Middlesex, PA, and Hubbard, OH.

January 1, 1997, I moved to the Chicago area, first to Waukegan, then to Beach Park in 1999, Lake Bluff in 2001, and to Mundelein in 2005.

In March 2006, I moved from Lake County to Cook County, settling in the city of Des Plaines.

I've always been interested in power lines and grids, calendars, and mapping -- the last of which has led to my enjoyment in playing SimCity 4 (with Rush Hour expansion).
