Jplippstein re: Carter Harris
Hello Go Phightins. please help! I have had my first article deleted by you about Carter Harris. It took me awhile to figure out how to cite properly and the page was marked for deletion. I thought i had remedied the situation but then the page was deleted. I don't even know if this is the right forum. Please help direct me to how it can be re-listed. Thank you in advance. here is a link to Carter Harris IMDB [1] Jplippstein (talk) 23:29, 1 June 2014 (UTC)
- @Jplippstein: If you want to recreate the article again, you can go ahead, but having just IMDb as a source isn't going to be enough. If you want to create the article, and lower the risk of having it deleted, you can create it as an Articles for Creation submission and have a reviewer see if it's fine, or as a draft in your userspace, at User:Jplippstein/Carter Harris, where you can develop it until you're ready to move it into article space. - @ZappaOMati: Thank you so much. Will do!
DYK for Alejandro Villanueva (American football)
On 2 June 2014, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Alejandro Villanueva (American football), which you recently created or substantially expanded. The fact was ... that if United States Army Ranger Alejandro Villanueva does not make an NFL roster, he plans to return to Afghanistan for a fourth tour of duty? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Alejandro Villanueva (American football). You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, live views, daily totals), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page. |

Thank you for your support
Ben, I would like to take this moment and thank you for the trust you had placed in me and for your support in my RfA that happened a while ago. Although it didn't turn out as I had planned, I certainly appreciated all the comments and suggestions given by you and other people. I will learn from all of them and will hopefully run again someday when I'm fully ready. Thank you. TheGeneralUser (talk) 13:22, 3 June 2014 (UTC)

Your request for adminship
Hi Go Phightins!, I have closed your request for adminship as successful. Congratulations on the strength of support for your request and your place on WP:RFX100! As always, the administrators' reading list is worth a read and the new admin school is most certainly available if you feel that you might require some practice with the tools in a safe environment prior to applying them elsewhere. Good luck with your adminship! Acalamari 10:25, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

If you'd like, your first act taking advantage of your admin permissions could be to send out the WP:BASEBALL newsletter on Saturday. I plan to complete copy editing on Friday and can give you the info required to do the mass mailing then. (I've never seen the interface, but I believe I have the info required for each field in the form, and from what I can gather, it seems straightforward enough to use.) isaacl (talk) 18:30, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

- Hey, thanks everyone. I tried to hit the thank button for all who voted in my RfA, but may have missed a few here and there, so if I did not thank you, thank you, and thank you for tolerating my posting of about ten thank yous in this single sentence . I plan to dabble in some WP:PERM or WP:RPP soon, so if you have anything in that department, you are welcome to let me know, but other than that, I am still cautiously looking through the new admin school and trying to make sure I don't hit any wrong buttons. Anyway, thank you for your support, and I would like to point out that I have not been given my standard issue article of clothing yet ... Go Phightins! 21:17, 29 May 2014 (UTC)

- Congrats GP. Some might see this as a successful week, but it is really the success of a few years, working to learn the system, to be a worthwhile contributor in all areas, and being an all around fair and rational person. You brings some excellent qualities to the admin corp, and I'm proud that I've been able to help along the way. As always, if there is anything I can do to help, all you have to do is ask. - Whoa, whoa, whoa, I was raised in Texas. Don't even start talking trash about my Cowboys. I grew up with Roger Staubach and drank a lot of beer watching Troy Aikman. I've even hung out with Barry Switzer and half the offensive line, drinking Shiner Bock in Luckenbach, Texas (yes, really). Adoption Request
As you are probably aware, I voted for you during you Request for adminship. I have been reviewing your adoption course, and I don't yet understand Wikipedia and all of its rules. I am seeking adoption. Will you be so kind to adopt me? -- Mmddyy28 (Contact Me Here) 23:43, 6 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hi Mmddyy28. With the new tools, I don't have a ton of extra time for adoption right now, but let me ping Tazerdadog. as perhaps he can run you through my course. Go Phightins! 21:38, 7 June 2014 (UTC)

- Whatever works for you, Tazerdadog. I trust you to handle the course; if you want to do it in my userspace, that's fine, if you want to do it in yours, that's fine too. I can pop in if you need my help, but I trust that you can pretty much run the course. Thanks a million. Go Phightins! 19:30, 8 June 2014 (UTC)

And He's Back
And User:Robert Dell is back, [1] though, this time he's more passive aggressive than last time.--Mr Fink (talk) 14:45, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Hey Apokryltaros. Remind me, how do I know this user? The username is vaguely familiar, but I can't remember why ... Go Phightins! 17:22, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
- Earlier this month, Robert Dell leaved an incoherent rant about "rich man's wiki" in response to a warning I put on his page for misusing a talkpage as a forum thread over a month ago. When I reported him at the Vandalism noticeboard, you declined on the grounds that he edits very infrequently (i.e., in month-long intervals), and then advised me to re-report him to you or the noticeboard should he return. And he returned earlier today, again angry for having dared to warn him, and also demanding that I remove his name from a spam filter he apparently traced to Wikipedia that was, according to his latest rant, blocking him from getting a job for the last five years or something. But, then we had a long and frustrating talk, and I think the matter has been straightened out for now. So, please forgive me for bothering you.--Mr Fink (talk) 20:25, 8 June 2014 (UTC)
