Would you consider citing your sources? It's a nice article and all, but it really lacks sources, so I've put the {{Unreferenced}} tag in. Sorry. --The UserboxerComplain/ubx 19:54, 16 May 2007 (UTC)

Republic of Ireland vote
Today you left a vote here but that was for a 2 month old straw poll. Since then this topic has moved on but there currently is a vote in which your voice might be appreciated. It is here: but is quite far down. Basically it is a rehash of the same old topic that has been discussed before at least 3 times and on each occasion the result has been the same; no consensus to change from the current set-up which seems to be your view too. Catiline article
Hello, I notice that you and I have both fallen victim to trolling behaviour over on the Catiline page, by that user with a bee in his bonnet about Catilina being an incarnation of Satan, or something; just to let you know I've alerted an admin friend of mine to the situation, and if the reverts continue there may be mild protection put on the page, and a block on the user. Perhaps we could both keep our eyes on the article too? Lordrosemount 12:12, 1 November 2007 (UTC)

Thanks and Happy New Year
Firstly, let me wish you a very happy New Year and thank you for your help in the Milhist Tag & Assess 2007 drive.
Secondly, although the Tag & Assess 2007 drive is now officially closed, you are very welcome to continue tagging and assessing until 31 January 2008. Any articles you tag and assess during this time will be credited fully to your tagging tally for further award purposes.
Thirdly, if you can find the time, it would be great to have your feedback/comments and participation in the recently-set-up Tag & Assess workshop The idea is to see what lessons we can learn from the 2007 drive to make the 2008 one more efficient and enjoyable.

Category: Military history of Canada during World War I
Hi!
Thanks for your recent work on World War I categories. Just some background you may not be aware of ... About a year ago, there was a major cleanup of the World War I and World War II category trees because of the amount of duplication, lack of consistency etc in them. This was extensively discussed in Milhist before it was undertaken and then referred to Wikipedia:Categories for discussion who agreed and did the changes using bots. One of these changes was to replace Category:Military history of Canada during World War I with Category:Canada and World War I, part of Category:World War I by country. As there was broad consensus for the change, and it makes navigation around the tree easier and more consistent, it's probably best if things are left like that. I don't think there will ever be a perfect solution to categories as almost everyone has a slightly different take on what's best! All the best, --ROGER DAVIES talk 06:18, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- Sorry about that. It was still listed as one of the categories that was needed to be filled on the Canadian Military History Task Force page (here), so I naturally assumed it was an urgent task that needed to be completed (imagine not have a category for World War One), so I filled it. I never realized that there had been a discussion a year ago (I only started editting consistently on Wikipedia around a year ago, and didn't join WP:MILHIST for a couple of months after that, so I'm sorry for any problems that this has caused, and will proceed to empty this category and remove it from the category list at the Canadian Military History Task Force page. Thanks for the heads up! --Patar knight - chat/contributions 14:20, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- Ah, thanks for the explanation. No need to apologise though ... to be honest, the categories are far from perfect and it's a miracle this doesn't happen more often :) --ROGER DAVIES talk 14:56, 24 February 2008 (UTC)
- Okay :) --Patar knight - chat/contributions 22:52, 29 February 2008 (UTC)
